Then we have the right opportunity—we are looking for a 5G Global Practice Solution Architect to join our team! The 5G Global Practice team, part of CMS Mobile Core and 5G solution family is in charge of driving integration work with the HPE partners such as Samsung, Affirmed, Openent, Casa and Metaswitch. The team also participates in specific PoC and trials at customer sites done in collaboration with those partners. In this amazing role, you will interface with your counterpart in the partner organizations to drive the technical roadmap of the integrations, defining the use cases that can be implement, understanding the features that can be supported and interact with 5G R&D and Product Management for roadmap and technical issue alignment.  If you have a track record in a similar role, want to be part of a business that is growing—with great opportunities, and are ready for your next role, then please apply today!

Impact / Scope

 

Your functions are:

Interact with partner teams to drive the integration roadmap
Interact with 5G product management to understand and give feedback to the roadmap
Interact with 5G R&D team to clarify technical issues
Perform presentations and demonstrations to customers and at international events.
Design, lead and perform demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoC’s).
Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required

 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years experience in solution architecture design and/or project delivery.
Telecom and networking experience (4G & 5G Mobile Core Networks, 3GPP standards), Cloud native experience (Kubernetes and associated tools, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile methodologies)
Previous experience in pre-sales activities is appreciated (responding RFPs, performing PoCs, estimating efforts and building quotations and proposals).
Languages: excellent written and spoken English is a must. Others are a plus.
 

Knowledge and Skills Required :

 

Technical leadership with the ability to self-manage, direct and mentor technical leadership team, and to enforce technical direction in a matrix environment
Excellent customer facing skills, integrity and confidence with good presentation skills; ability to gain trust of clients and act in a mutually beneficial manner.
Responsible for understanding complex end-to-end systems
Proven track record of defining and developing Telco solutions
Experience in working with customers and/or partners in both presales and delivery
Demonstrates ownership and assumes responsibility to drive resolution of issues
Broad understanding of evolving standards and technologies
Ability to manage priorities and maintain engagement across a number of projects at various lifecycle phases
Knowledge in the following areas: 4G & 5G Mobile Core Networks, 3GPP compliant applications, Networking, Virtualization, NFV, SDN, OpenStack, Analytics
Technical skills: Java / J2EE, Kubernetes, Unix/Linux knowledge, in order to customize demos as required.
Excellent verbal and written English language communications skills
Ability to cope with very high peak workloads, short deadlines and significant pressure
Highly adaptable to cross-cultural requirements (clients and countries).
Ability to travel and work remotely.
Travel at short notice availability required (20% – 50%).
